Remember: It's not an MST... it's a zerg rush.

Hello there, and welcome to Zerg Rush MSTs! Venture forth into the world of bad fanfictions, filled with Mary Sues, Gary Stus, butchered canon characters, and bad grammar. Sounds scary, doesn't it? Well don't worry. I'm your MST master, Sirea, here to make your stay in Zerg Rush MSTs as painless and hilarious as possible.

What is an MST?
MST stands for Mystery Science Theatre 3000, a show that was on the SciFi channel a few years back. The show had no actual plot to it, per se... It was 3 robots and a man trapped in a theatre forced to watch bad movies for the rest of eternity. So the entire show was a bad movie being horribly made fun of by the 4 prisoners. Here at Zerg Rush MST, we do exactly that, but with fanfiction instead of movies.

Who does the MSTing?
Well, that depends on the fandom that's being MSTed at the time. Yes, I could have the actual characters from Mystery Science Theatre do the shredding, but most people wouldn't know who they were or what exactly was going on. I, myself, don't participate in many MSTs, because you have no idea who I am and why it's funny that I say certain things. But I will fill in if there's a severe lack of snark in a fandom. (Example: Drakengard) In Devil May Cry it's usually just Dante and Vergil with Sparda supervising them, but on occassion Trish will make an appearance. In Drakengard it's me and Urick with Caim in the booth. In Final Fantasy VII all of the Turks take a whack at it with Rufus in the back. For Resident Evil fanfictions, it's generally Chris, Leon, and Ada with Wesker in the booth.

What fandoms do you MST?
Right now, I've only MSTed Devil May Cry, Final Fantasy VII, Resident Evil, and Drakengard. That's not to say that I'm limited to those fandoms. Once I finish the sequel to the game, I'll be putting a deep dive (yay bad puns!) into Kingdom Hearts. I also plan on moving to Final Fantasy VIII, Final Fantasy X, Lunar (SSSC and EBC), and others, if I find fics bad enough.

Do you accept suggestions for fanfictions?
Of course! And I also do birthday parties! No, I'm not joking. A few friends of mine have asked for MSTs of certain fanfictions for their birthdays, and I'm more than happy to oblige. The only thing I ask is that it's a fandom that I'm familiar with, so that I can make it funny. The fandoms I could do pretty well would be Final Fantasy 7, Final Fantasy 8, Final Fantasy 10, Devil May Cry (1-3), Kingdom Hearts (1-2 and CoM), Lunar (SSSC and EBC), the Bouncer, Drakengard, Xenogears, Xenosaga (episode 1 ONLY), the Legend of Dragoon, Gundam Wing, Dragonball Z, and Record of the Lodoss War. Of course, I'm not limited to those, so if you want one that's not on the list, leave a comment with a suggestion and I'll see if I know what the hell it is or not. XP

Why do you do this to these poor writers?
It's all in good fun! And laced within every MST are tips on how to get better, although some are more subtle than others. I have had authors laugh hysterically at fics of theirs I've MSTed, but I've also had authors who have freaked the hell out to the point where they ended up getting their own accounts banned on fanfiction.net. Everything you see here you need to take with a grain of salt. Because, Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if I see one of my own fics MSTed one day. In fact, I plan on doing an old Mary Sue I wrote about 4 years ago.. maybe sometime in late spring. This journal is entirely for fun and amusement. Flames will be used to make s'mores.

That's right, I did. I also MSTed one of MINE. If you see one of your fanfictions on this journal, you have one of three options.
a) Laugh with the rest of us and take the tips we give you to get better.
b) Get highly offended, freak out, flame me with a thousand curses and report me to lj staff. In this case, I will laugh at you and MST even more of your fanfictions, along with ripping apart your flames. Seriously, grow up.
c) Get highly offended and send me a private message asking me nicely to take it down. I'm not a monster. I'll take it down and give you an apology.

POLICY AND TERMS OF AGREEMENT OF RESPECT
By reading these MSTs, you will adhere to these terms of respect. Failure to follow these terms will result in making this journal friends only, just so that I know who is reading and who isn't. I want to keep this thing public for everyone to enjoy, so don't screw it up for the rest of us.
By reading these MSTs you will agree to:
- not leave a review on fanfiction.net, and/or email the original author with flames on his/her story.
- not leave a review on fanfiction.net, and/or email the original author with the information that his/her fanfiction has been MSTed. Exceptions including close personal friends and/or relatives. I'll understand.
- not flame me and/or spam my personal journal with insults and threats. It's happened before, and it's old now.
- LEAVE if you find anything offensive. No, I'm not really a racist nor do I want to destroy the world.
- BE AT LEAST 13 YEARS OLD. There are things in these MSTs that SHOULD NOT be viewed by little eyes, and I don't want to be responsible for corrupting any MORE of America's youth.

So read, laugh, and enjoy. And respect the original author and the MST master. I hope you enjoy your stay. :)
